Merry Christmas

We started our Christmas Holiday early this year. Curtis graduated from CU on Dec 18 with a PhD in Accounting. We are so proud of him. What a great night. The two older boys joined us along with Curtis' parents, his aunt and uncle, and my parents. Ty stayed with a family friend in Boulder. It was so nice to see so many of our friends again. Thanks to all for the great time!

Josh is in a "hide from the camera" phase or give me a goofy look phase and so I told him that I would take whatever I can and put it on the blog for all to see, so here is his half hearted, roll your eyes smile.

While in Denver we were able to spend a day at the zoo. It was a great day for the zoo. Andrew always loves the snakes and lizards. Even Ty enjoyed it for the most part.

While growing up Christmas Eve was a hard day due to the excitment of what was to come. My parents always tried to find something for us to do that would keep up busy for most of the day. We decided to go to the Children's museum this year. I guess we should have called first because they were not open. Luckily the Aquarium is right next door. Josh is actually smiling for this picture!!

We had a special visitor at Grandma's house on Christmas Eve. Because we flew to Denver for Graduation and Christmas the boys wrote a letter to Santa and asked him to come early so we wouldn't have to fly any presents home. They were not expecting anything on Christmas or Christmas Eve, but Santa thought they might be able to fit in just one gift. Ty loved Santa from a distance, but wasn't too sure up close.

Andrew was out in the garage helping grandpa cook in the dutch ovens when Santa came. He saw Santa coming up the driveway and ran in side yelling, "I saw Santa! He's coming!!" The doorbell rang, but Andrew kept trying to run across the living room. Mom and grandma said he's at the door, go let him in. Andrew said no, he's coming down the chimney. Finally we convinced him that Santa was at the door and it was okay because he only goes down the chimney at night when we're all sleeping.
More Pokemon!! I think we are being taken over!

A fun tradition we picked up from some friends a long time ago is Christmas crackers. Inside is a small gift, jokes, and a crown for everyone. Tyson would not put his on, but the rest of us wore them all through dinner.
