The Cutest Donald Duck Ever

For those of you who know me, you know I love Donald Duck! My aunt found this awesome costume and sent it to us, hoping it would fit next year for Halloween. I decided to have Ty try it on just to see. He looks so cute and he loves it! I wasn't sure if he would be willing to put it on, but now I can't get him out of it.

A Month of Firsts

November has been a month of firsts for our family. Clark rolled over for the first time on Nov. 4th. He is now a champion roller.
Clark also started eating solids. He absolutely loved it for just over a week. I was all excited thinking that I knew what I was doing and this should be easy. Then out of the blue he stopped loving solids and cries every time I try to put a spoon in his mouth.
Josh had a birthday party for his 9th birthday. It was two weeks after his actual birthday. We couldn't find a weekend that didn't have something already going on, so we finally squeezed it in on a Friday night. Happy Birthday Josh!!! We are so glad he is part of our family. Josh had a soccer tournament this month. His team took 1st place!!!
Sometimes we just can't hold Clark anymore (he's almost 20 lbs!) so he gets to go in the backpack. At first he loves it, as you can see.
He is very good while in the backpack, but after awhile he just can't hold up his head any longer.
Josh and Andrew helped make their first apple pie for Thanksgiving. You'd thought I was torturing them, but in the end even Josh said it was kind of fun. It was yummy too!
On Thanksgiving we enjoyed having dad home during the day, so we put up our Christmas tree. It's this first time we have used the tree. We also put up the train (for the first time) that runs around the Christmas tree and plays Christmas songs. Ty loves the train and will lay on his tummy and watch it go around and around for a long time.
Clark is also learning to sit on his own. He is not quite there yet, but Andrew was having fun helping him practice.

Tyson is now sitting at the table with everyone else and enjoying a big boy bed. (Firsts for Ty this month)

Happy Halloween!

Wow! Halloween came too fast. We didn't put any effort into costumes this year, it's almost all repeats. Clark - R2D2, Ty - Batman, Andrew - Darth Maul (without the mask) Josh - a soccer player (Landon Donovan to be exact).
Everyone loves the R2D2 outfit and 3 out of 4 of the boys have worn it. This year it was Clark's turn.
I asked Andrew to go find this in the dress up box and he came down wearing it.
Ty was actually our first R2D2.

Who's who?

Can you guess who's who?
Everyone tells me how much my kids look alike. From 0-18 months it is pretty hard to tell who is who. All 4 of them are very similar and of course very cute.

Favorite Toy, Yum!

Clark is starting to use his hands. I love to watch him grow! My aunt made him this one eyed monster and it is his new favorite toy. He smiles and reaches for it whenever we hold it up for him to see. He must taste pretty good!

Recent Happenings

School is about to start and I realized that I haven't updated the blog lately. We started off August with a visit from my good friend from Colorado. It was great to have her here. We went to "Eclipse" (the first Twilight movie I have seen in the theater, so nice to have someone to go with!), went to the farmers market, and some fun local shops. We also played run the kids to soccer camp and/or swimming everyday and made some yummy foods for dinner and dessert! Thanks for coming Marna! We miss you and your family!

Josh had his first soccer games with his new team. They played the U-10 boys and the U-11 girls teams. He is on the U-9 team, so everyone they played was older. They did very well. We are excited for the upcoming season! Josh is in the middle of the picture, jumping into action.
All the boys got hair cuts last week, but Andrew loved the spikes before we cut them off.
Ty has learned a new word. He is yelling it at me while I am taking this picture. Can you guess what it is?.............................MINE!!!!!

Andrew was helping me take pictures of Clark smiling. The cutest part is Ty in the background. He was helping too!

Clark's blessing

I know two posts in one night, crazy! We blessed Clark last Sunday. My parents, Curtis' parents, and Curtis brother and his family were able to come for the weekend to help us celebrate our sweet baby. We had a very full house, but a fun time. The boys loved being spoiled by 2 grandmas and 2 grandpas and having their cousins here.

What a cutie! He was too big to wear the little tuxedo that Josh and Ty wore, so he got to wear the same outfit as Andrew.
I really wanted a good family picture, but getting everyone together, awake, happy, dressed nice, with no figures in mouths or noses is just too much. This one is not too bad.
Grandma Nicholls wanted a new picture of all her future missionaries now that a new one has been added.
After picking my parents up from the airport we went to Hersey, PA. It was crazy busy, but we still managed to get a quick picture with the giant kiss.
Josh, Andrew, and Grandpa got to make their own candy bars. They have eaten part of them and said they were good!
Clark is smiling more and more, but it is difficult for me to take a picture and make him smile at the same time. I caught him with his tongue out!

Hill Cumorah Pageant

Last week we went to Palmyra, NY to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant. My parents were in town for Clark's blessing and we meet Curtis' parents there. We had a great time. All of the boys did great even in the heat and humidity.

Josh, Andrew, and Ty with one of their favorite people, our Bishop. He played a wicked person in King Noah's court.
Clark was much happier as the night got a little cooler.
Andrew with King Noah.
All of us with the guys that played Joseph Smith and Moroni. The stage is in the background. It was an awesome stage. The boys loved the fire and water shooting up during the pageant.
Climbing the Hill Cumorah.Curtis, Clark, Josh, and Michael Clark (the bishop's son) , a dancing Lamanite warrior. Michael is one of Curtis' scouts and one of Josh's heroes.

Updates

Ty has learned a new skill! He is now stringing his string cheese. Notice the silly bands?! It's the new thing for the older boys, so Ty has to have some too!
I can't believe how fast he is growing. He seems to grow a new roll every day. Clark likes being outside in the evening. Hanging out with grandma's not bad either!

What's up with this face?!
One of the many faces of Andrew.
The tree in the back yard attacked Andrew.
Grandma and Grandpa Nicholls came to visit while Curtis was in Colorado this last week. The boys had a great time going to the movies, the 4th of July parade, the fireworks, and playing in the water.
Tyson loved spraying his brothers with the elephants trunk.
Ty would giggle with delight as his big brothers ran away each time he got them.
He did not like when it was his turn to get wet.
He wanted to stay outside all day! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a great weekend!

There are not too many pictures of Josh. He doesn't like to have his picture taken too much. He has been busy though. He tried out for a local soccer club and made the team! He is excited and works very hard! He is also enjoying the world cup soccer games and he keeps very busy helping mom with his little brothers.

Clark Curtis Nicholls

I can't believe that Clark is two weeks old already. He is doing great and growing like crazy!
One day old.
All four boys. Ty didn't want to have anything to do with Clark at first. This is the closest he would get and only because we put him there, seconds later he was gone. Josh and Andrew were both very excited to welcome a new brother. They took pictures the next day to school to show him off. Josh's whole class made a book with cute drawings to welcome Clark. Thanks Mrs. Taylor's class!
