Nice day for a hike!

After years of being slacker parents and missing out on all the great outdoor things there are to do in Boulder, we decided to take the family on a hike. We had a great time and the kids really did a great job with all the walking. That funny dirt wall behind us is the bottom of a fallen tree.
Ty, in the famous yellow backpack. This backpack has been in the family for years. All 3 of our kids have been in it and we even have pictures of Curtis in it when he was Ty's age.
At the end of our hike we found this fun plastic rock at a small playground. Andrew was the first to climb up for a good look around.
Grandpa got too come too!
Grandpa was nice enough to take a few family pictures for us. It's been about a year since we all got in a picture together. About time!!

Lego Castle

Josh and Andrew spent two days straight putting their Lego castle together. They did this with almost no help at all. Great job guys. (Josh really wanted me to put this on the blog. He has been checking other blogs out and thinks ours needs more cool stuff.)

Happy 4th!!

We have a great 4th of July weekend. It started on Friday night when Curtis' parents showed up with in the big yellow truck. Curtis' brother and his family came the next morning from Connecticut and the fun began.

7 future missionaries all dress and ready for church.
Funny faces!
After unloading the truck most everyone went for a ride on the scooter. Jason (13) is taking Curtis for a ride. Hold on tight! There's a car directly in front of them.
We all enjoyed some Rock Band. (Jason and Eric on guitar, Lance on vocal, and Andrew on drums)
Even Grandma got in on the fun.
Andrew was our dancing entertainment with some sweet moves!

Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and played some games in the back yard. Grandma got caught to save one of the grand kids.
Curtis is frozen during a game of toilet tag. He has to wait until someone comes and flushes him to set him free.

We had a great weekend. Thanks Lance, Laura, and family, and Grandma and Grandpa, for coming and sharing it with us. Happy Fourth of July!
